Asprey Homes aims to deliver the highest level of Customer Care.
We will help to ensure that the move into your new home is as smooth as possible. During the construction process your home will have been inspected at key stages by Building Control and our New Home Warranty provider. Prior to Legal Completion our site personnel will inspect the property for any snagging items. Our Sales Executive will then invite you to attend an inspection of your new home around two weeks before you are due to complete your purchase. We will endeavour to remedy any items found before legal completion but there may be occasions where this may not be possible.
On the day of legal completion, our Sales Representative will carry out a full handover of the property to you, take final meter readings and provide you with a comprehensive Homeowners’ Manual containing all the information you require for your new home. This will include including guarantees, warranties, certificates and a Homeowner’s Guide to your New Home Building Guarantee Warranty Policy.
We fully indorse the Consumer Code for Home Builders and as such are registered with one of the following New Home Warranty providers – NHBC, Premier Guarantee or Build Zone (differs by site). They will issue a 10 year warranty for every one of our new homes. For total peace of mind, we also provide you with an initial 2 year call out service for any defects that may occur after legal completion. However, please remember that this does not include items such as normal shrinkage or condensation due to the property drying out, general wear and tear and damage arising from failure to maintain the property.
Our 2 year dedicated Customer Care is provided by After Build Property Warranty Management who will receive, handle and resolve service calls which should be managed within an appropriate time. The time will vary depending on the nature of the issue raised.
If the issue in not dealt with in an appropriate time or manner, please contact Asprey Homes in the first instant. In the event that the matter is still not resolved (please see our formal complaints procedure) you may refer your complaint to the relevant Home Warranty Body. Please see booklet given with your copy of the reservation form. There may be instances when the complaint falls outside the Home Warranty Body’s resolution scheme for defects. In this event you may apply to the Consumer Code’s Independent Dispute Resolution Scheme. Further details may be found in the booklet ‘The Consumer Code Scheme’ given with your copy of the reservation form.
